Why Bihar Polls are Important: This Verdict Defines India’s Present & Future.

GA leaders Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad after decimating the BJP in its own game, have said in their first press interaction that 'Bihar election results will have national impact'.
The results could dampen investor sentiment. India Inc feels.
This verdict will also dictate BJP's internal elections in December. its president Amit Shah has been highly overrated as an election strategist and party chief. His famed strategy of flying in a team of experts from Delhi, marginalising local leaders and relying heavily on Modi has been exposed as flawed and outdated. But after Bihar, his image has been tarnished.

Responses on Bihar results:
Shatrughan Sinha calls Nitish Kumar’s triumph ‘victory of democracy’. Once upon a time he used to be the BJP’s star campaigner. Today, Sinha had been sidelined by the party leadership. He has often taken potshots at the party for the way it has conducted the campaign in Bihar. Sinha termed the Grand Alliance’s victory in Bihar elections as the “victory of democracy” and took a swipe at the party’s top brass, saying the issue of “Bihari versus Bahri” has been settled once and for all.

"Bihar results indicate people not happy with Modi govt": Pawar.
NCP president Sharad Pawar today said that the Bihar Assembly election results indicate there is an "anti-BJP sentiment" in the country and that people are "unhappy" with the Narendra Modi government. "I don't see the Bihar verdict in isolation. The state may be backward in terms of development but the people are rich to take wise political decisions of national impact," said Pawar. "The results show where the country is heading. People are not happy with the government at the national level," the Maratha strongman said.
Clearly, doubts like 'Has the 'Modi magic' faded?' have started coming up.

Analysts have said that the results are a personal defeat for Modi, who had staked a lot in the campaign, addressing more rallies than any other PM in a state election.

All is fair in war and Bihar polls - various narratives in the form of allegations and counter allegations got  dramatic twists and turns, courtesy Modi.
PM Modi did not forget to mention 'return of jungle raj' in his rallies.
Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi had charged the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad with hiding black money that he allegedly made out of fodder scam by running dairy business and rearing cows.
Result - the accused RJD returned as the single largest party.
BJP president Amit Shah had attacked Nitish Kumar, accusing him of backstabbing the NDA by snapping ties and said it was in line with his habit of "deceit" to grab power.
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar had accused the BJP of imitating his schemes by promising scooty to school students to counter his popular project of providing them with bicycles.
He even went on to state that the office of the PM was demeaned by Modi.

The BJP's heavy defeat in Bihar is the second major setback for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party after Delhi. This will certainly galvanise the opposition both within and outside his party.

The defeat will certainly dampen the mood as PM Modi heads to Britain for the first bilateral visit by an Indian leader since 2006. He is due to address more than 50,000 people from the Indian community on 13th November at London's Wembley stadium. The reactions remain to be seen ...
