Indian carriers carried 11.5 million passengers in September 2018

Flight data released by the aviation regulator the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) 

Domestic airlines registered about 18.95% growth in passengers flown during September compared to that a year ago. Indian carriers carried 11.5 million passengers during the month, up from 9.6 million in September 2017.



Load Factor

Gurgaon-based SpiceJet - 93.2%, (42 successive months of being in top position)
GoAir - 90.6%,
Vistara and Jet Airways - 84.9% seats full.



On Time Performance

GoAir topped the list by operating 90.4% of its flights on time 
SpiceJet operated 89.1% flights on time and 
IndiGo  operated 87.6% of its flight on time. 

The national carrier Air India has been the worst performer here. It operated the least number of flights (74.3%) on time during the month.



Market Share.

Leader of the pack - IndiGo 43.2%
Jet Airways - 15.8%
SpiceJet - 12% of the passengers flown during the month.
