"How did you like the garden, Gloria?" Diana asked, gesturing towards the beautiful flowers and lush greenery surrounding them. "It's stunning," Gloria replied, her eyes sparkling with delight.
"Lawrence," Richard asked, "did you show Gloria the poolside?"
Lawrence chuckled and nodded. "Of course! She was excited to see it."
Diana smiled, pleased to see her would-be daughter-in-law enjoying the beauty of their home. "We put a lot of love and effort into creating this oasis," she said. "Come, have some refreshments, and let us know what you think. We hope it brings you as much joy as it does for us."
Gloria's smile shone with appreciation as she felt at home and loved by Richard's family.
"I am speechless," Gloria whispered, eyes scanning the estate with awe. "It's even more breathtaking than I imagined. Thank you for welcoming me into your family and sharing this incredible space with me." Richard and Diana beamed with pride as they watched Gloria take in the beauty of their home.
"Mom, Dad," Gloria said politely, "please come to our home and meet my parents."
Richard and Diana exchanged a glance, their hearts filled with warmth and gratitude for Gloria's kind invitation. Their acceptance and warmth made the audience feel included. "We would be honoured to meet your parents," Richard replied, his voice filled with genuine appreciation. "Thank you for also considering us a part of your family."
Diana added, "We will meet them and finalise your wedding plans together. It means the world to us that you want us to be involved in such an important milestone in your life."
"Mom, Dad," Gloria said, "thank you for being so supportive and understanding. I should go now and tell my parents."
Lawrence intervened, "Go? So soon? We were hoping to spend more time with you."
"I am not going anywhere," Gloria said. "We have a lifetime to spend together, and I am excited to make the most of it. But right now, I want to share this news with my parents and celebrate this special moment with them." Her words were filled with excitement, but a part of her also felt the weight of the decisions she was making.
"I understand," Richard said. "We shall meet your parents tomorrow and join in the celebration."
Lawrence slumped his shoulders and let out a sigh. Gloria smiled at him, saying, "Don't worry, Lawrence. We'll include you in all the celebrations, too."
Gloria stood up and asked Lawrence to lead her to where her limousine was parked. Lawrence nodded and led Gloria to the parking lot, feeling excited and nervous about introducing her to his parents. As they walked towards the limousine, Lawrence whispered, "I love you, Gloria."
Gloria's smile widened as she squeezed Lawrence's hand affectionately. "I love you too, Lawrence," she whispered back, her voice filled with warmth and reassurance.
"When shall we meet again?" Lawrence asked.
Gloria looked into Lawrence's eyes, her expression filled with anticipation. "Let's plan it for tomorrow," she said, suggesting a playful tone. "I can't wait to spend more time with you." Her anticipation for their future meetings was palpable, making the audience feel excited as well.
